This stems from my previous thread re Playdoh
![]() So we made playdoh this morning and Becky had a ball. We used those food colouring from supermarket, the 4 primary colour tubes. Now the problem is Becky wanted certain colour that's not on the package like pink. Now I know that to make pink, you mix white and red together but there is no white food colouring ![]() What do you do in my situation? Are there more food colouring choices out there besides the ones I mentioned? I don't usually visit the baking aisle at supermarket so I have no idea

or just add less colouring?
Or, for a natural alternative use beetroot juice

i'd go the beetroot juice, it's a gorgeous pink! you can also get food colourings made from natural foods, so muted colours, but no chemcials

I make pink with just less of the red... infact to make a bright red you have to use like all of the tube of colouring, otherwise all you get is pink
unless your playdough base isn't white like mine is....
