Wii Should Unite!

we love ours, we are currently playing through games on the virtual console (yoshis island, zelda ocarina of time etc) though the cheating online is insane and nintendo REALLY need to police it better (especially not leaving it all up to the players ffs u have people using their mobile numbers as usernames BAN THEM don't expect other players to report it!!)

We currently hate ours. We have spent hours so far trying to get the darn thing online - we bought it a lot to get the games from the virtual console. Today alone I've spent the last 3 hours stuffing around. My husband work IT and he still can't get it to connect!

oh no! that must be frustrating!! we got ours online no problem and even have the homebrew channel/upgrade so can get games that aren't avaliable on VC cross my fingers u get it online soon! honestly it will be worth all the bother and frustration lol

We got the nunchuck for around $27 and the extra controller for around $65 but that came with the Wii play game - well worth it, we love the fishing and the cows racing to hit the scarecrows.... Wii play is great for younger kids, my 4 year old DD loves it. Oh and I agree, have two of each of the controller and nunchuck is a really good idea.

Well we finally got it on the net - ignored everything we read about changing to different channels and turning the firewall off etc - and it worked! Unbelievable.

Is there something special you have to buy to get on the net? How does that work? This is why we have never played online... we don't know what to do!

A wireless router - the wii has built in wireless. We don't have any games to play online (I think it's only mario kart that can be played online anyway) - but you can buy games from the wii shop - old games from n64, snes etc. If you don't have a wireless router you can buy a lan adaptor and plug your wired network into it.
