Socks aren't that hard but when first knitting sticking to a flat project might be the go.
Socks also don't grow extremely fast unless you are doing a mega 12ply sock so newbies might get discouraged when they can't see there progress instantly.
I love my knitted socks too and have about 6 pairs now. I have misplace 2pairs last night so have no idea where they are GRRRR![]()
