Default am i a worrywart?? colds question..

bree has a funny hoarse voice, cough and is feeling hot to touch, and i want to avoid dragging her around for school pickups and keep her inside if at all possible.
(feed a cold/starve a fever??)
its been suggested to just pop a coat/hat on her and get on with it as she'll be rightideally (depending on babysitter (mum) availability/willingness) i would keep her home - or am i being a bit of a worrywart/pita for not a lot of reason do you think?? what would you do? im reluctant to bother mum and MIL(working and have an interstate visitor i think) if im being sillydh def thinks she should stay in but he is a total paranoid type lol

sounds like what Marcus has right now. He's coming out with me for teh school drop off/pickup cause I hae no other choice, but I'm keeping him in other than that, mostly because of the weather yesterday (OMG!) and today. He seems ok other than being a bit listless and grumpy with a cough adn runny nose. He's had a high temp too, all day yesterday and felt a bit warm this morning. If I had stuff I HAD to do I'd probably just take him anyway and try to get it done quickly, but I don't really have anywhere else to leave him.

That's what I do when they're not quite right too...take them for things that just have to be done and keep them home the rest of the time. Hope she's feeling much better soon!

I say you just need to go with your instinct, whatever they tell you. You are her mum and you know best! With Gracie it depends from one cold/flu to the other - sometimes I think she is fine to go out and about but other times not, depending on the full picture iykwim.

Hugs and I hope she gets better soon

Bec.

bree seems ok really.
dh rang his mum and it turns out she is free and will do it
yay problem solvered.
otherwise i would just have had to take bree and would probably be fine.
if it was jade when she was younger everyone would have just had to cancel plans that included me taking her out the house as i had to be paranoid coz of her fit history - i guess old habits die hard hey kristie.
i have to get off here and clean the bathroom - have already wasted half a whole rare day at home now
