It made me think of one thing that had bot occured to me.. I just bought a Brita jug for my new house as it does not have a filter tap.. and the jug i would guess is Polycarbonate..

Ant way i just phones Brita to ask.. the poor girl on the phone had no idea what BPA was.. but the Customer service manager knew strait away - BPA Free!

Yay Brita

hmmm.... I'm not sure I'm convinced yet.... not that it isn't an issue... just that the small exposure my family gets to those things warrants stressing about it....
I think there are a hundred things we should be worrying about before that.
maybe it's just my ignorance speaking

I do agree Lis that we have so many things to worry about but I do believe that our constant and overexposure to so many chemicals and toxins is probably responsible for soooooo many of the "modern" problems, from allergies to infertility.

Cutting down your exposure to a known toxin like BPA is actually quite easy once you know what it is in. All I have done is chuck out any bad plastics and use more glass and stainless steel. Oh and cut out clingfilm. We have not really noticed any inconvenience.

By doing this I am hoping my kids will think it is normal and then they will carry it on.

I gotta agree with Lis, I think.

Although I guess if I had a bottle-fed baby I would at least look for BPA-free bottles, because obv. any risk is going to be harder on a very small person, KWIM? And they would drink from a bottle so frequently over the first year or so.

I mean, I am trying to reduce plastic use for a number of reasons but I'm not going t ofreak out about recycled paper, etc.

ITA agree about the bottles Georgie.. Thats why the filter jug jumped out at me if all the water we drink goes through it..

We also still use recycled paper, it doesn't touch food and we don't eat it YK, we are also mainly just doing the food and drink and frequent contact items.

Yep, that's true
I am curious about how much it actually effects the body and in what degree.... and compared to other things...
It is interesting... I guess I should look into it more lol.
