It took ages for DH to even look at the name book with both of our kids. He didn't like the name we ended up choosing, but I think he just gave in cause I pointed out to him that I didn't like DS's name and let him name him that anyway. So we have Abigail Jorja. I've had to spell my name my whole life, so I wanted something that was easy to spell, but also something that we could shorten (she gets Abby or Abs). I first heard it on ER and have loved it ever since. With Jorja, I loved Georgia, but didn't like the spelling, so when we saw it spelled this way on CSI, it stuck.

Our other names:
Cora
Cordelia
Ella (DH's favourite and our backup name, but it's just too popular)
Emily (My old favourite, if DS was a girl he would've been Emily)
Emma
Erin (DH's choice)
Hayley
Hannah
Isabel
Imogen
Jade
Keely (DH's choice)
Lorelei
Poppy
Ruby
Rose
Sabine
Tara
Tegan (DH's choice, I knew a Teagan and she was a cow)
Zara (we both liked it, but it just didn't make the cut)
Zoe

We'd also considered Lily as I think it's a really pretty name, but we know a Lily (very cute girl) and my aunt is Lilian (don't like her).

I love the name Lily BUT Grae doesn't

I also like Poppy (Grae doesn't) and Lucy (not a good choice with our last name so I got Lascinda instead)

Some other names we had on our girls list were

Chyna - China
Tahnee
Alythea (Grae's grandmother's name BUT his mum chucked a fit )
Tryphena (Grae's Grandmother's middle name ...Same reason as above )

Oh gee heaps more but I can't think

I like Lily too but I wouldn't call a baby that now, there are sooo many of them. In Luca's swimming class of only 8 kids there are 3 Lily's. I really like Maya.

Lol, my DH named both our kids.

He said our son's name ' Blake' the day we thought I was expecting. It happened to be to a boy's name and we had a son. I chose the middle name and he liked it.

When I was about 8 or 10 weeks he started calling our baby 'Molly' we hadn't found out the sex and we now have a daughter called Molly. He did come up with some other girl names after we found out we were expecting a girl, Veronica, Tiffany and I said no to those. I looked through name books and online at other girls name but nothing really stood out. We both liked Sarah but was already a family name, so used it as a middle name.

I did always like Tahlia and Kaylah they are pretty and not too common. I have always liked Lilly too but doesn't go with our surname.

You have a lot of time to think of a name.

we had trouble with girls names too.... a boys name we picked straight away (Kai), but we really only got a girls name in the last few weeks, and we'd narrowed it down to Tahlia Bree or Tahlia Jade, and only decided on the day

We only had a list of 8 names we both didn't hate... and 3 we both really liked...so we just had to pick 2 of them to use.

We liked Erin and Bethany, but we have friends/family with those names, so we couldn't use them... and I really wanted Romany... but hubby says that's not a name.

I also like Kira, Tia, Bonnie, Emma....

in the end i made a big list with all the names i liked and he crossed off the ones he didn't like - thats how we got Jacinta, it was the only name left

I love Larissa we have a neice with that name and she is lovely

I quite like Jade and Bethany now. Tahlia is a nice name but I can't imagine one of our kids with the name. Also have been wondering about Kaylee. My mum is Kaye so it would be nice

It is a pity Lily is so popular. I guess since it is such a pretty name more people like it.

I think I have forgot what it was like choosing the other kids names. I think with Deklan I just said the name and he said it was okay. With Gabriella he knew a girl with the same name which he liked when he was a kid
