Why Do You Blog?

Mind you blogs can be dangerous places as well I just bought a pattern for a space boy after seeing Michelle's latest one on her blog. I keep away from the weewonderfuls shop but Michelle's blog just sent me straight there and I couldn't resist

I have the Kit, Chloe and Lousie pattern from there too now. Just waiting for some time to make them.

I have two blogs also. One is private for overseas family, and is really about our family and was started to avoid having to send loads of pics to numerous people via email.

my other blog is my knitting/craft blog, which I really put up for myself to keep track of projects and to keep motivation. I want to finish things so I can blog about them Ravelry came along after I started my blog, so most of my projects are in there anyway, but I still like to keep up the blog because I can say more about each thing there.

you can install a stat counter to find out if any people are actually reading your blog. i did, cause I was just curious. people don't comment very often so it's hard to know if anyone is actually reading, but with a stat counter you can see how many, where they are coming from etc. I don't comment on others blogs too much either, but I read plenty

I read that you had them on your blog They are so sweet but I didn't want to challenge myself to make all of them by chrissy. Although Tully would love them, especially the little dress ups. I was also tempted by the gnomes as they'd make very cute chrissy deco's but it's a downloadable pattern and I'm without a printer at the moment.

I'm planning on making the spaceboy and robot for a few little boys for chrissy whose dad's wouldn't appreciate boy pixies

I did the same too Kim. It sort of keeps you motivated to write as someone must be reading I'm not big on commenting either although I do visit plenty.

I don't blog, but after getting addicted to reading various blogs from you gals, I am considering starting. More to keep family and friends up to date on the goings on of my three stars.

It is a matter of find the time though, I really don't know how you girls do it. I have some many projects I would like to try, but just can't find the hours in the day. And thanks to this post I have yet another one (those Robots are gorgeous )

I have a couple of blogs - a business one to keep people up to date with whats going on.... a personal one that started as a place to talk about my garden, and its not sort of a place for me to babble on about various things and I use it to keep some ideas, almost like bookmarks.... I have one for showing off my pads and I have another one a bit more private, that is usually for me to rant on Tahlia has one so we can share some of her pics and things with family.

My personal ones are mostly there because I like to type stuff out to get it off my chest, or in the hope that someone might stumble across it and be interested

I don't think very many people even look at my blog. I really do it for myself, I actually like going back and looking at the pictures of the stuff I've made on it.

I also have a LiveJournal that I use mostly for the 'community' aspect of it. I've made a lot of online friends through it and it's fun!

My other blog is a record of my Consumption Challenge, so all about my craftiness within the context of not buying new stuff. I like to have a way to record what's happening and what I'm making and I like to post pics of my FOs because I get so inspired by other people's FOs. I don't think many people read it, but I like to do it anyway. It helps me to stay motivated.
