My mum until recently truly believed that there was a treasure at the end of a rainbow.... was kinda strange and weird of her (I never believed her because I was that kind of a child) but now that she is getting older its now sweet and funny.

I went to a catholic school and we were not taught EVOLUTION but CREATION (by god) ...frustrating as I wanted to study zoology and ecology at uni.

Also taught that if you werent christened no matter what your age you wouldnt get a straight passage to heaven. Instead you would go to purgitory and have to make it up to god and hope that people prayed for you to go to heaven

....oh I could seriously go on ...it was Opus Dei

nearly as silly as some of the things that parents teach their kids
Haha very true....

Apparently my old teacher used to say that if the parents didn't believe everything their kids said about the teachers, they wouldn't believe everything the kids said about the parents...

Mum tells stories about things us kids have said.....my father was trying to explain to my younger sister (in about grade 3) something about embryos all starting off as female, or no gender (I don't know what he was saying) - leading my sister to tell everyone at school that "daddy used to be a lady" And my uncle was playing dressups with my cousins one day (as you do with small children), and I they had put a hat on him and some piece of my Aunt's clothing.... and apparently my younger cousin went to school announcing that "daddy wears ladies clothes" hahaha

I'm frightened about what the future holds with Tahlia... going to school telling all kinds of wild tales....She probably already does at kinder.
