Question Tupperware- is it worth joining?

I was looking at the latest Tupperware Catalogue and there is quite a bit of stuff that I wanted to get.

I was wondering if it is worth me joining so I can get the consultant discount. Now I was quickly adding up what I wanted and it was over $300 Also there is quite a bit that I would want to get in the next 6-12 months.

So for those of you that are consultants, what is the discount and is it worth joining up for the discounts and benefits?

I don't know about that but I just brought a whole lot off ebay brand new and saved myself about $200

you can do like Donna said, and be the 'host' and that can work.

When I joined, I paid off my kit in two parties (my first party was $1500 in sales)
and I now have my entire pantry in MM, and only one non-TW thing in our kitchen oh, as well as the IKEA stuff lol. So yes for me it worked and now I don't do parties any more, just outside orders and replacements for friends (but you have to have a manager who is willing to do that).

how much is the kit????

are you suppose to do parties? I remember NutriMetics you could just take orders from friends etc and still get the discount.

You dont have to pay for the kit to start but you need to have party bookings linned up. The commission from those parties pays your kit off.

If its just $300 worth of stuff you want I would go with the option that Donna said and have a party.

An idea is to contact Tupperware, tell them you are interested in joining and then have a party. If it turns out really well the demonstrator can then asign the parties and sales to you and that can be your first party

You need to pay before the delivery date to the host. The host then gives the money to the consultant on delivery. Well . . . thats the way it worked for our distributorship

I hold a party every year, sometimes twice, so I tend to plan on what I need to get and get the sale items or the host items when it's what I want, I am picky about when I hold my party on that basis. Birthday week in May has some great sales that have generally been on the modular mates. The website you can view the monthly specials or if you know a TW person then it makes it easier to plan I think.

If you have the time to devote to being a demonstrator for just a couple of months then you could get all your stuff easily. There is stuff in the kit I don't really want though so it wouldn't really be worth it for me. Annual party works better because I can save my money and get a lot in one hit as well as the host specials.
