    Default Lots o' lemons

Our lemon tree has decided to yield a bumper crop (after bearing no fruit at all for the last 9 months).

Anyone got any ideas as to what I can so with them? Apart from giving them away
I'm going to make lots of lemony desserts over the next few weeks but I'd love other peoples' input.

    TIA!

Chop up with a bit of ginger & steep for a few min in boiling water. Mmmmmm I'm addicted to lemon & ginger tea at the moment - great for the immune system!

Obsi has a great homemade lemonade recipe.

*sob* seems like it's been decades since my tree gave any lemons.... I swear it's doing it because I was boasting that I was inundated with lemons and my tree was the greatest

Lemonaid.... Just mix 1 cup water with 1/2 to 1cup sugar, and heat that in a saucepan until the sugar melts, then add this to a large jug, add 1 cup lemon juice and 5 cups water.

I found these links today - Homemade Citrus Vinegar Cleaner : TipNut.com, Homemade Air Freshener Sprays : TipNut.com

I made a lovely topping for cheesecake/cupcakes by mixing some lemon zest with a little coconut, icing sugar and a squeeze of lemon... it makes a sort of crumbly stuff you sprinkle on top. lovely on a plain cheesecake.

There will be plenty of lemon butter being made! And lemon tart.
I'm going to try your lemonade, Obsi.

Wems, feel free to come raid the tree- there are about 30 more of the buggers ripening on there!

Oooh, and my grapefruit tree has its first fruit- looks like it will be ready for eating in a few weeks. Mmmm, ruby grapefruit
