Thanks everyone. Might be waiting a while though, no sign of any action yet.

I'm officially due tomorrow, but Bek and I have decided that Friday would be good.

I keep chanting over and over in my head "my baby is safe and well and will be born when she is ready". I'm feeling a little better about it now. Got up this morning and thought of all the little things that I'd like to tidy up around the house....linen cupboard, my cupboard, rip up the carpet in the dining room. Maybe I'm nesting.

Hospy bag and labour bag are packed, hospy bag is sitting ready in our room, labour bag is already in the car, car seat is in, have a bag with clothes for the kids in the car, baby's clothes, blankets and nappies are all washed and ready to go, cot is ready to go, just need to get one more basket of crud off it.

Best of luck Peta, hope everything goes well for you, that you have a wonderful birth and are snuggling your newbie soon!

Sounds like your nesting instinct has kicked in big time!! And you are super organised woman!

I packed my bag about half an hour before I went to the hospital too - I wasn't planning to stay in there for long though, so the few things I made hubby grab between contractions was enough!

    Thanks girls.

Well, today's the big day apparently, though I'm still in one piece. Maybe someone should tell little miss that today is meant to be her birthday.

I'm coping ok, just really tired and have a really short fuse. Not good during school holidays. Had a knock down, drag out fight with DD in the coffee shop today. She was sooooo loud the owner came to investigate. Thankfully I'd already managed to strap her into the stroller and was just leaving. As I walked past him I said, "She's ok, she's just being murdered!" I've really had enough of my "Spirited Child", spirited my ass, she's plain evil! And as for MR Hollow Legs, my god child, if you're hungry, get yourself something to eat. I don't care if you're hungry at 2.30, you've had lunch, I haven't, so no, you're not eating mine.

I did achieve something yesterday at least. I got all of DS's artwork from the last 5yrs sorted and the best stuff is now in a folder and the rest is in the bin. It's only been sitting in a washing basket for the last 3 years and then in the cot since it got put up.

Today I need to get all our tax stuff sorted so I can do our BAS tomorrow and email the file to the accountant. Ahhh, end of financial year, yipfrickenhee. At least it's the last one ever!

Just saw the ob and she is still high, though I think she is slowly making her way down. She's still rolling around from side to side alot. He was going to book me in for the back-up CS for the 13th, but they are fully booked already, so the girls are going to wait to see if I come in for my appointment next week.

Fingers crossed that she decides that the slide is more fun than the trap door!

    Just a quick update.....

The girls talked me into trying a hot curry last night. Well, nothing's happened.

Surprisingly I managed to get a fairly decent nights sleep (reflux wasn't too bad). Only woke up twice, once with a really strong BH and once to pee. Woke up again at 5am and now I can't get back to sleep.

I'm still having lots of BHs and some pretty strong period type cramping, so I'm hoping that something is going on down there.

Well, something must be going on. I just spent 30mins waddling around Bi-Lo doing the groceries with DH and the kids. It felt like her head was bashing against my bladder and each step sent searing pain through my bladder/cervix area. Then on the way home each bump in the road did the same thing. DH also thinks that I've changed shape.

I now understand why some heavily pregnant women waddle. It fricken hurts to walk!

BHs haven't changed, but hopefully she's dropped a little and is now helping to thin out my cervix.
