Default What could you not live without?

Ok, my turn for a nothing thread.

What do you have around your house that you just couldn't live without. Something that makes your life sooooo much easier and you would be devastated if it was gone. I'm not talking people, but an object that not necessarily everyone has. Say a slow cooker, food processer, special cycle on your washing machine, etc, etc.

For me it would have to be our clothes line on the back verandah. I have no idea how I would cope without it. It was here before we moved in and I don't know that I would have thought to put one up if it wasn't here already. I've only ever lived in houses that only have a clothes line in the yard, this is the first house that's had the extra hanging space. It's only three separate strands of clothes line strung the length of the verandah (not a proper one), but I use it all the time! Especially now that it is so cold and rainy. I can hang stuff out day and night, leave it there for a couple/few days until it's dry and then bring it in day or night. The roof protects everything from the rain and dew. I think I want to marry it!

    So what's yours????

hmm.. well first thought was the computer that's really the only object in the house I couldn't live without.......

but if you're talking something more obscure.... not sure....... I could live without the slow cooker or food processor.... but I couldn't make things like the sausage rolls I do without the food processor (it's the reason I bought it). I could live without the "stab blender", but that would make it more difficult to make icecream and pureeing things... I could live without the microwave, but I'd be back to trying to grill tortillas to melt the cheese for burritos and that's just not good! and I find it great for reheating leftovers.

    Maybe my electric blanket

If we are taking people and computer out of the equation. I would have to say my coffee machine, I have only had it a week but I am loving my morning coffee, even though it is only decaf now, that warm fluffy coffee of a morning really kicks me along.

My washing machine, can I have that one???

We had a really old top loader when we first got married that we had to turn the tap on and off at different times of the cycle. Then we spashed out and got a nice Asko. Its a dream

my sling How else would I possibly get anything done without it?????I've tried to move Sage onto the ergo or mei tai but we keep coming back to the good old pouch sling I made. Some days it's the only thing she wants to settle in

but if I had to choose a machine I'd go with the washing machine too! I had a twin tub prior togetting a front loader and whilst it was great on clothing and water, man it was hard work. When I had two in nappies,we finally decided we needed to move on. can't imagine still having it, I'd be tied to the bloody thing all day

Would have to be my vacuum cleaner. When my old one broke I went 4 weeks without one and OMG sweeping carpet isn't fun and just doesn't work! I think I vacuumed for over an hour when i got the new one, just to make sure ALL the dirt was out of the carpet.

I would also have to say microwave, mine broke the other day and I am dying without it. Things are so much harder to heat up, Ashtons food is a PITA to make ... driving me bonkers! But if I had to choose one it would be the microwave!

It's got to be the washing machine. Imagine having to hand wash everything!
