Our holidays start today. I'm a holiday lover.
We have 2 kids flying in from Adelaide tomorrow. My 13yo DS moved back to live with his Dad and start high school this year. And DSS lives there with his Mum.
17yo DS has been in Perth all week for school country week. Where he was the male school captain(brag brag). He'll be back tonight.
So as of tomorrow we will be up to our full kiddie quota of 5!
The girls will be in heaven with all their brother's home.

you see we have 5 kids in a 3brm house. its been raining on and off and they all have cabin fever that set in on day 1.

I dont mind holidays per se, its just the teenage angst attached to it....

ROFL at the chook pen! Mine are fighting heaps too but we can't get out and do stuff because of this yucky chesty fluey thing that we've got ATM. Of course only one gets it at a time and I can't drag a sick boy about so the others are bored brainless

I love school holidays too. Last day of school today.

I love the lazy mornings with no rush to get them all ready for school, just bliss!
The bigger kids are around to keep an eye on Michael so I can have a nap in the day. They also are handy for getting lunches and drinks for the little ones.

We have the shed, so if they are fighting I don't hear them from the house My lot haven't hit the teens yet and don't fight that much.

We're planning a few treats. Pete will take the boys out for the day and I'll do the same with the girls. We go to Adelaide and the movies. Just easier to take them in two lots and then we can leave Michael at home. Much easier to get around with older children who don't get as tired and grumpy.

You just need some IL's like mine
The kids book their school holidays ahead of time with them.
We're picking them up today after they've spent almost a whole week with Gma and Gpa, they get to chose if they want to stay at the farm or the beach house .

DH starts 2 weeks of holidays today too so they'll love having daddy home and we'll no doubt be out and about lots next week, so we should be right to survive these holidays

And bring on the lazy mornings!!
