Hey Wems
This person very recently had the same issue... looks like they ended up reinstalling Firefox and it totally fixed the problem... have a read of this thread.

I don't use that 'search australia' function, I just type in site:.au any time I want to search aussie sites.
ie, in the box put: cupcake toppers site:.au and any results will only be from sites with .au I guess it doesn't help if the Australian site doesn't end in .au....
