We pay $69 per month for 12Gb with Bigpond. We're not complaining though, it's only been a couple of months since we only had the option of dial-up or Wireless, where we were paying $70 per month for very crappy wireless.

Hopefully by the time our contract runs out there'll be other ADSL service providers in the area, Bigpond are currently the only ones.

I'm so jealous Julie. We're about to be shaped, we've got about 20Mb left for the next two days. I can live with a day or so on dial-up speed.

    You've used 12 gig???

my children are online a lot when at home, and I am as well and we still don't touch the sides of 7/10. Though the three eps of Torchwood may take me a little closer

DH used most of it.... I'll use up to around 4gb a month for business stuff, particularly since I watch a lot of Youtube. But DH.... I just don't ask...

We're with IInet. Previously we paid $59.95 and got something like 10gig on, and 15 gig off peak (off peak was 2am to 12noon). Recently they changed all their plans and now we have 30gig on, and 30 gig off peak (off peak is now 2am to 8am).

That's at 1500/256k speed. My parents are with bigpond and if I use their net it's like dial up compared to mine - which compared to adsl2 is slow.

I use a bit for work - previously we'd only go over our limit if we'd done some big downloading for the month. Now there is now way - we actually wanted to drop back a plan, but we're on an old bundle and don't get charged for voip - if we changed plans we'd then have to pay $10 a month for our voip - would would negate the drop back to the $49.95 a month plan (which is 20gig/20gig).

We have something ridiculous like 60/60 and still get shaped sometimes.

It's all my partner and the shit he downloads

Ah, thanks for sharing, Julie. We used to be with iinet, but where we lived then, and where we live now they only offer dial up. I was desperate to have adsl here, and my choices are quite limited (Optus and Telstra, and I'd have to be really, really desperate to try Bigpond). I really don't know what I'd do with 60GB, so I'm not cut up about not being able to get it. I'll never live in the big smoke, so I'll just have to bide my time for deals like that.

I don't live in the big smoke either. I'm definately in regional Qld. Just lucky we can finally get ADSL. When I did live in the big smoke (the Gold Coast) we couldn't get ADSL at all!

Why not use TPG?? even if you don't download that often but at least you'll have fast internet.

$69 bucks for 150GB of download..
