I was told something like under 150 or 160 is a boy, over a girl. Dunno if it's true lol
Sorry want links other than wiki? Thanks for making me feel like an absolute dick. The hospital told ME that co-sleeping was sleeping with bubs in bed, hence why I had to sign a CO-SLEEPING waiver

Google "what is co sleeping" and it's the same as bed sharing...
I actually have never heard anyone refer to co sleeping as sharing a room but not a bed.

Heres the "Wemsipedia" definitions
Co-sleeping/bed sharing - sleeping in the same bed
cot/bassinet in the same room - sharing a room/rooming in
sidecar/fandangled million dollar "co-sleeping" bed - is pushing a cot up to the side of your bed BUT i don't call it co-sleeping because you aren't sharing a bed....so sharing a room
and Mel the heart rate thing is a load of bullshit or I have a lot of very mixed up kids here
its just one of those old wives tale things like if you have bad indigestion your baby will have lots of hair.....I had indigestion from conception till birth and my 7 kids are all BALD![]()

But when you listen to the experts (Dr James Mckenna, Olivia and Helen Ball) speak, they classify in a bed as bed sharing and in the same room as co-sleeping![]()

How? With some grit and spit. Lots of spit and grit.
And stick-to-it-ness
Hey Sheri ...have you done the ring test? Did it for both my bubbas and it was correct. Hubby and I just did it for a bit of fun.
We have our 7 month old still in our room. Hubby was suppose to finish 3rd bedroom while I was pregnant..Still waiting! We had our little man in a bassinet which we put on a large coffee table. Worked well. He is now in my mum and dad's travel cot because our other little man is still in his cot (going to get him a big bed when he gets his new room). It is great having bub so close because I can put him in bed for a booby feed and lay down. Sometimes..actually lots of times I have fallen asleep while he is feeding.
The only thing I wonder is that our little man was feeding quite frequently until recently (fingers crossed he doesn't start again) and maybe if he was in his own room that he would have been able to settle himself and not wake wanting mumma's boob.
I don't know whether your hubby is a light sleeper or not but my hubby rarely wakes up when I am feeding or quickly changing nappies on the bed.
I also had both bubbas in bed with me at the hospital. There were some nights that I would have not got any sleep if I didn't have them lying on my chest. The nurses didn't say anything, just made sure I had the side up on the bed.
Not long to go now...you must be very excited!!!
All good advise Sheri :-)
Super good luck for the birth of your little one!! very exciting ++

ooh it is close
i just wanted to add re the sleeping thing
my second - theo - was a c/birth and the first night the midwife at the hospital put him in the bed with me to help with feeding/bonding - she kept a close eye on us, had rails up etc as i was on endone (narcotic); night feeds are much easier with baby in your bed
my hubby is an olympic sleeper so we did a teamwork approach here where i'd go to the loo whilst he changed bubs nappy then i'd get comfy and he'd hand me bubs to feed - he'd be snoring again in minutes
good luck it is exciting
