OT:bacon rind leads to choking :(
I don't know why I decided to post this but it really freaked me out.
I am still shaking... My almost 5 year old son was choking. We had bacon at lunch time and I hadnt made it around to clean up the kitchen and so there was bacon rind on one of the plates. Zuriel was in the kitchen and talking about eating bacon. I didn't think anything of it while I was dealing with my 2month old...then I could hear him making noises...I didn't look at first then when I did there was my precious boy all red faced with flem dripping from his mouth that was wide open as he was choking, I freaked out, I did the smack on the back which did a whole lot of nothing and then I stuck my fingers in his mouth to pull it out, I know I hurt his throat poor baby but I did get it and he is fine. All I could do was walk away and cry, then cuddle him saying never to eat anything off the bench without asking. I feel terrible, he's playing and probably isn't bothered by it anymore but it really has shaken me up.... so never leave bacon rind out!!!

Thanks Carmen, It is certainly something I never want to see happen again. I don't think I will ever forget his face...it was horrible!!!
