Who pays $61.00 for a nappy!!

Hi,

I just had a quick look at that auction site and I couldnt believe my eyes! Someone bought a fitted nappy for 61 bucks! My DH would kill me if I did that.

So whats the thing about these nappies, can someone enlighten me or maybe even convert me to wanting some...lol

Yeah it is beautiful but says it needs a cover what a shame to cover it up...

It really is beautiful just couldnt believe the auction price thats all lol...

yeah, i think the same thing! There were some longies that went for $120 or something the other day too. And while i will admit that both products are gorgeous i still can't imagine spending that kind of money on a nappy.

And as far as keeping it for when the baby is older.... it's a nappy! It catches poo!! LOL!

I love finding cute prints and soft fabrics etc for a nappy, and i love the adorable fleecy AIOs with the cute printed tabs etc that you can really show off.... and i know that the skill needed to do hand embroidery and make the longies with the pictures on them is way beyond my understanding or abilities but i could never justify that kind of money.

Still, i am a person that shops at Target cos i think the clothes are good value. And i would never spend $100 on a pair of pants or a nice top etc and a lot of people do. Maybe i am just a tight-a**e!!

I'd love one of those!! Lesley's work is extraordinary and I bet it would be even more fantastic in real life!

And i wouldn't cover it up too often, Lily would be wearing it under a cute little woollen dress!! Even under a cover I'd be happy knowing i owned such an wonderful piece of art, it's the same as buying gorgeus and expensive underwear IMHO

If you just think how long it would have taken to do that beautiful embroidery, let alone make the nappy, it is worth even cent IMHO You should see how much this stuff goes for in the States. Just wish I could afford it!!

I am a cheapskate too - I buy baby clothes from cheaper shops (big w - still cute stuff) and wouldn't spend more than $10 per item - but i happily spend $40 or so on a nappy~maybe i am just weird

Hey Michelle I am with you I shop at Target too! AND I dress my DD is target too lol

Everyone always tells me how cute her outfits are so there is nothing wrong with it..

I am a tight a$$ too lol...

The most I have spent on an aio is $20.00 (won't tell you how many I bought though) lol...then I didnt want to spend any more money so now make them myself lol

nope as much as they are gorgeous I just cant justify it. My brain is usually ticking over with thoughts of, hmmm I could get almost 3 longies for that price or make 6 nappies for this price etc etc.

I wont take away from how gorgeous these items are, but for me they will always be just to look at

Definitely not weird Joh, cos if you are that means most of us here are too!!! LOL

I rarely buy any clothes for Lily anymore, she has soo many hand me downs and I make the rest. But if anyone looked in her cupboard they would be spun out by how much she has!!!! Plus she fits in most things between 00 and 1!!

That helps me justify nappy buying!!!
