Hey Brooke, my hubby is half Welsh, he spent a lot of (really misspent) time over there a few years ago after his dad (born in Cardiff) died, all his family on that side are over there. We have a fairly common Welsh surname too
![]() My dad is a Pom, and my mum is an Aussie going back a few gens. Cai looks like his dad, although Matt is the token swarthy dark one in his generation, Cai's colouring is a lot more like my BIL/FIL's, fair and sandy. D'Arcy on the other hand looks nothing really like her dad, in fact people have seen photos of me at the same age and thought they were D'Arcy. Aside from the dodgy 80's clothing of course So there ya go

my mum's family is mostly irish (came to australia late 1800's), with a tiny bit of norwegian thrown in on her dad's side
dad's family are a mix of mostly irish with a bit of english dh's family are a mix - his mum's family were mostly german, his dad's side were mostly english, but his grandmother was Sri Lankan, so he's got the dark hair and skin. essentially though, we're both Aussie born and bred ![]() rhiannon's father was tasmanian (need i say more, lol!) she looks mostly like me ![]() the older 2 boys look exactly like mark, but the white-skin genes on my side of the family must've been pretty strong, lol, cos they don't have the lovely skin! they don't have the dark hair yet either! ben is more like my family so far in looks, but may change as he gets older.

This sounds terrible but I have no idea about my heritage!
I think on one side there is a convict, on the other side I really don't know where we came from. My grandparents were certainly all white anglo Aussies. DH's paternal side, again no idea, maternal side was Scottish and French a few generations back. And now we don't even live in Oz! DS was born in Hong Kong and he is the blondest blue-eyedest, whitest kid you ever saw. Poor child is doomed to a life of sunscreen. Beanie

My parents came here in the 60's from England - fairly unmixed British, mostly english, little welsh and irish, nothing else of note
I was the first of our family to be born here, including extended family that also immigrated. Steve's family have been in Australia several generations. We come from pretty much the same stockI reckon, and consequently both families easily claim Audrey's good looks

My family's from Malaysia (Chinese) but I grew up here so I'm a banana (yellow on the outside, white on the inside)
DP's Aussie with American dad. So Matilda's "rice outside the field" (phrase we learnt while on holiday in Thailand)

My husband is welsh/irish/viking/etc I think he's not even sure what else he's got in his blood. He's born in Sydney and grew up in Gold Coast, then came back to Sydney for uni. My family moved from China to Thailand so I was born there, then came to Australia 5 years ago and met DH.
