I was born in UK. Moved here with parents in 1991 (i was 10yrs old). Lived in SA ever since.

DH has Greek father and German mother but DH born here in SA. Thinks of himself as Greek-Australian as all his friends and family friends are part of the Greek community.

So DS is a bit pommy, woggy, and German, and Aussie too! What a littlel multi-cultured boy!

I'm a bitsa - mostly German, some English, a bit of Irish, and (here comes the interesting part) apparently I am 1/16th Native American!! My Great-Great-Grandfather was Native American, I don't know the story but somehow he ended up in England and married my GG-Grandmother.

Worry is like a rocking chair - it gives you something to do, but it doesn't get you anywhere.

Jade has DH's colouring - fair skin, light brown/blonde hair, but people say she looks like me (thank goodness, 'cause I'm so paranoid people think I'm her nanny - compounded by the fact she calls me "Eilleen").

Sean has my colouring - dark skin, dark hair but his features are definitely DH.

Slightly OT: I have been told that its a "species survival" thing that all children look like their fathers when they're young. Apparently, its so cavemen dads would hang around and protect their young 'cause their young look like them..... don't know how true this is!

Myself, my parents & my grandparents were all born in Australia. My Great-grandparents on both sides were English.

My husband's parents were both born in Italy and migrated here about 35 years ago (but still like to live their lives like they are back in the mother country )
