I'm not sure if they had these around when my girls where little but does anyone have nay of them and what do you think of them?

One friend said their child loved it.

What are you opinions please?

See if you can borrow one from the library. I did just to check it out and my kids weren't interested at all. Just shapes and things on the screen. They prefer the Spot shapes and colours video we were given when Anna was born.

I don't think it is that good for a bub to be watching the TV TBH even in an 'educational' capacity *Bec says as she sits watching a computer screen avidly*

Edited to add - I remember hearing about a study that linked infants watching TV to ADD. They said something along the lines that the rapid pace of the images speed their minds up too much and was too stimulating.

Bec.

It was about that age Sam started to enjoy Elmo, the Wiggles and Hi 5. I love seeing the kids getting up and dancing rather than just sitting there. And I think it's good for him to learn the words and actions. I think it will help his language development etc.

Emily loved it as a baby. She didnt watch it much, but when a puppet would come on, she would crack up! It really calmed her down if she woke at middnight fr a unconsolable screaming match.

Now-a-days, they are a bit boring, and much prefers wiggles. She doesnt have much, maybe 1/2hr a day, with me with her singing along?

I like the ones with 'live action' and the kidlets seem to too- like with animals and real babies and nature and things- Baby Mozart isn't great but Baby Van Gough is alright.
