If you really don't want to use sposie and I gues syou stash is big enough then do cloth but jsut change more often of put a good layer of fleece liners in the nappy. Perhaps if possible give her a bit of nappy free time between changes.
Easier said than done as we couldn't do that as wee would be walked from one end of the house to the other. DOn;t know it is would work but don't put a cover on her let the air circulate either no pants or use polar fleece pants or just change regualrly. I have not done a cover before and the front of the nappy isn't even wet through after say 2 hours. Hope she feels ok soon. Hope I made sense if not disregard everything I said.LOL

I would think the cloth would be less irritating on the sores than the disposables (because of all the chemicals in disposables)
You could try fleece liners to help her feel dry, or silk liners? shame it's too cold for LOTS of nappy free time! Sorry not much help as my bub hasn't had chicken pox ![]() HTH |

I'll second the use of silk liners to help healing- especially overnight (nappy is on for such a long time). I personally find that my fleece pockets keep bums driest of all, and yet are still breathable. Way better than a sposie I would think.
Hugs to little Rachel. My boys are the same age and are sick with colds, but I can't imagine how yuk CP would be for them :-((

Yeah, if possible i would heat up your house and leave her with as much nappy free time as possible. I would *think* that sposies would be irritating but i've never had chicken pox (and am immune for some reason??) so am not really sure. I'd be using no cover/wool covers to allow for us much breathability (a word?) as possible and changing v frequently. Silk liners would prob be idea but BB is sold out, where else can you get them from, anyone know?
Bottom line though, what ever is going to keep your bub comfortable during this time i would be doing.

I will keep her in cloth I agree its more comfortable than sposies. I will just make sure we change her lots I have lots of wool too so should be right. I wonder if spotlight sells silk to make liners? I will look at the wee wuns too. I don't know what it is but my girls are having a much worse time with them than the boys did
. Rachel is getting even more spots as the day goes on . She has been so cranky the last few days know I now why. I am going to the drs tomorrow to get the clearance note for ryan to go back to school so will get him to check out rachel and samantha while I am there. Thanks

Poor little things Vanessa. Hope they get better soon.
They will be cooler in cloth, sposies actually raise the temperature down there
