Default Please, enough......

Just looking for possibly something I haven't tried already.

Henry has been sooo whingy the last two days. Like I can't leave his side, cause he wants cuddles, but as soon as I pick him up, he pushes me away.

Yesterday he was sick every where (which is something REALLY unusual for him) and had very runny smelly poos for a few hours. After he was sick he did pick up for a while, but was really sooky still. He has a lovely green runny nose and a yucky cough.

Today is much the same case (except missing the spew and poo bit). I have tried Brauer's teething stuff, Dimetapp, cuddles, a shower, a bottle, panadol, biccies, and all of his fav foods, but nothing is cheering him up.

And then this afternoon, he was walking across the verandah and seemed to forget what he was doing and fell totally backwards and hit his head on the concrete.

I can't seem to help the poor little blighter today, and he won't sleep and won't rest and simply won't stop crying. I don't think he is sick sick to go the hospital, but have no idea what else to do to settle him and soothe my ever increasingly wrecked nerves (on three hrs sleep I don't think much is going to help that)

Any suggestions

I would just sit with him and gently rock even if have to hold firmly for a min and hopefully he will go to sleep.

What about a drive in the car or a walk in the pusher.

Tried all three - forgot to add them to the list.

No Joy. He is currently in bed, and not particularly happy about it, but does seem to be winding down a little. Here's hoping he will nod off in a minute

gosh, its so tough on days like that, must be a lot worse with the fact that you are pregnant. I was going to suggest using a sling/mei tai/ergo but I'm not sure how you'd go carrying him. Can his dad take him for a walk and give you a break?

I'm the only one home Dh is on his way but is over an hour and a half away.

Kris, if you could see my belly.... No sling is not an option at the moment either.

But it sounds like success, i think he might be asleep. I might actually be able to do something now, cause if he hears me busy normally while he is semi sleeping, it wakes him up

Oh, Ali!! You poor thing, sounds like you might need a sleep too. Do something for yourself, let DH do the housework when he gets home. anyway, it's the weekend no one should do housework on the weekend.

Hopefully Henry's got a bit of a virus and he's at the end of it. It sounds a bit like Lily lately too, is he gnawing on his fingers, toys, books like he's teething??? i've given her a toothypeg and a cold facewasher and she was quite happy with that.

Tikki, he is dribbling, but no more than normal. He does however have BAD breath - so might be throat sore - but that cold be from the constant crying and screaming too.

Oh sleep - yes I could do with one myself, but isn't likely to happen. And as for the house work - DH doing it HUH???? It'll still be there in a week if I left it up to him

If he has bad breath it could be tonsilitise or a throat infection. It sounds like you have done everything you can. ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) to you it's so hard when going through these time. Hope it all improves soon for you.

After another dose of panadol, he is now asleep on his pillow under my feet - poor little darling. When he finally gave in, he went straight into a deep sleep and is snoring.

Hoping it isn't anything more than a virus or cold. Just now how to get him into a better spot to sleep without waking him
