I don't rescue. Sometimes (often at the beginning) i would get the "where's the..." "how do I ...." "what's this...." going on with the nappy changing. If he can't do it properly then there's only one way to learn, the same way I did - funny how mothers have no-one to rescue them. By the same token, I also had to learn not to criticise a wonky nappy
But trust me he won't throw up if he thinks he has to clean that up too.
Jackie!

(don't get me wrong, I'll help, explain whatever, because I appreciate that it would have been nice to have someone show me, yk, but I get your train of thought Jackie, is what I mean)

it may be because her diet has changed or something similar, sadly i dry gag like crazy if liam does a poo painting and will spew while cleaning it up, but when its in a nappy i have no problem. so it may just be the change, for some reason it does cause problems at times

I asked paul what his favorite 'type' of nappies were, he said he like the bee ones (beehinds LOL) so I got 4 BBhinds plushies for him to use, I like them as well, but I dont use them so they are always there for him to use.

Plus, I get to use all my NEW nappies LOl. I'm hoping he doesn't catch on to my bubblebubs

I must be very lucky.. we used cloth at DH's insistance, he even insists on taking them on holidays some times. I have convinced him that its NOT practical to take them on a plane for a weekend in Adelaide tho.

He has never objected to changing nappies and in fact atm he is doing most of it as he is temporarily out of a job and Im the only one working. We sometimes 'bargain' over it like if you change her, Ill clean the poo off but he has never ever been unable to do it.

Not criticising is very important, even when he doesnt put the cover on right and we end up with a leak, and he has worked out his own method which isnt the way I would do it but it works for him.

cheers
