I was wiping for every nappy change as Isabel pooed in every nappy. That changed last week with the intoduction of solids and I must confess that sometimes I don't wipe after a wee - she is so wriggly it's hard to keep her still!

Oh dear.. another bad mother

I never wipe for wee's. When Holly was very new I used to but it actually gave her nappy rash - I was told if you wipe lots you are washing off all the natural skin oils all the time which are there to protect the skin.

I do pat her dry if the skin is damp or give her 5 mins nappy free time - which usually turns out to be a lot longer as she's such a wriggler.

I wipe for both. I have a 4L ice cream bucket that i make up with Washy Wafer solution and fill with wipes, so when i'm grabbing a fresh nappy out of the nappy basket i just grab a wet wipe too.

We wipe for both. I find it helps stop Tom getting a rash.

Oh dear I don't wipe for wees either. I thought their wee was so diluted that it's not a strong solution anyway, and that it's better not to be wiping too much to save their skin.

But then, we have never had any nappy rash at all (bar one or two times that lasted half a day), so I didn't worry so much about it.

It's given me food for thought though.. I should start getting a proper cloth wipe system going, with some plain water.

Another bad mum - don't wipe for wees either - never have - never thought there was a need to. Never really had nappy rash either.

i only wipe for wee's as i figure jic she poo's then the two bacteria's don't mix and can cause rash.will be ok though if there is no poo coming (we only dry ourselves with toilet paper, not wash after we go)
but sometimes i don't bother for that reason - she's dry yk?
