I never considered saying it 'pull', always say P.U.L. because of the abbreviation. But then we say plenty of things as one word that are really abbreviations, like 'laser' etc. It must be more to do with how you were introduced to the word and how your brain works.
I could never say pul as 'pull' because there's only one 'l' and it seems very wrong to me!

yes it's an abbreviation
i get that many acronyms out there though (especially in my professional life - nursing) that i and others shorten to a word so for those of you who say P U L do you say wahm *wham* or W A H M? (oh and i don't say pull i say pul - it's shorter faster and a slightly different u sound)

If you were going to say the initials it actually uses more syllables than saying the words IYKWIM.

I say P-U-L, I think because of the abbreviation. I find it sounds weird when others call it Pul or Pull.
I tend to say work ar home mum too, as I think most people have trouble imagining George Michael making nappies :slol |

oh i get the trend here
i too say the words (ie poly urethane laminate and work at home mum) to people out of the mcn world but to people in it i cut it down a bit like prn (which is P R N) i'll say prn to people who know what it means to lay people i say when necessary thanks all anal and not hugs kaz
