Default Re: When to give Paracetamol?

Thanks Guys

She has just had another feed and her temp is back down to high 37's - it was up at 38.9 a couple of hours ago. This was all without panadol, I would have given it to her had she reached mid 39's tho.

Not sure what the problem was as she was laughing and babbling at me during the last feed so obviously she's in no pain.

Here's to a night of good sleep for all of us

Geez, those seizures must be a hell scary thing for a parent to be a part of....not to mention the child . *knock wood* Thank goodness we haven't had anything like that happen to us.

Also in this study was that it's a big risk to undermedicate as well.....if you are going to give the panadol, make sure you give the correct dose and not go over or under. There is a high rate of giving too little, and ending up giving more doses because it doesn't work, or ending up at the doctors or hospital because of the continuing symptoms when a correct dose would have solved the problem.

The fits are bad we had 12 in 2 years but *Knock on wood* Aaliyah has grown out of them, she fit if her temp at 38.5 so i can't be relax at not giving pandol.
Aaliyah has an Immunity diffenany so she can't fight on her own he body can't handle it, so hoping that the last one on Sep last year was the last.

Hope she gets well soon

Yes, she's much better this morning and she actually slept really well too.

I have a friend who's DD suffered fits but hers they believe were a form of epilepsy. Scary scary stuff tho.
