Question OT: multiple birth online resources help?

There seem to be many Mama's to twins around lately, i thought I'd ask you all for some help.

One of my best friends is 23 weeks pregnant with triplets and wanted some resources on line, I guess now while she can still sit @ the computer!

so can those in the "know" please post me some links to great multiples resources?
Ta muchly

Katanya

There is a great multiples section on essential baby forum. Lots of really great mums there and a few triplet mums too...Good for real life experience advice and friendship

About to bath the kids now but will put the link up later if you need it..Plus think of some more I found handy

Well considering I set up and administer the AMBA forum, I'll say the AMBA forum - over 750 members dealing from pregnancy to adulthood experiences, advice and support with multiples - twins triplets, and yes quads too in there!

PM me if you like, or anyone else who is interested

i think she s exploring many options, and wanting as many pov as possible, sheis planning on breastfeeding them all for as long as possible even if that requires expressing etc, but she is getting a nurse for the first 3 months anf going for routine, I think she is just quite overwelmed by it all (she also has a 2 year old)

I will send her by EB too thanks Wems
liss i have pm'd you!

thanks guys

Hi Katanya

I found the multiple families section of EB to be fantastic. Kate's (Bubba J) friend Renee is the moderator for that section and she has triplets and 1 singleton! She also lives in Melbourne and is an amazing person...she would be an ideal contact for your friend. There are also a couple of other triplet mums who contribute regularly at EB (my only frustration with that forum is the slow speed to download every page!). The AMBA forum is also good.

The other thing she could try to do is link in with the local AMBA group in her area, unfortunately I don't have one here in Mackay, but have heard they are fantastic for support IRL.

GREAT idea that everyone has pitched in for a cleaner (ESSENTIAL...at least for the first year!). I hope she also has a clothes dryer and a dishwasher (yes I know I'll be shot down for saying that, but they do help make life easier). Maybe also a supply of nappies would help them financially.

A few Baa Bums would also be well used in Melbourne ;-) HOW CUTE- a set of 3!!! (you know how a love my sets lol).

I am currently unpacking boxes in my new house, but I'll let you know if I think of anything else! All the best to your friend for a smooth pregnancy :-))

:-) Lindy
