I think the trimmest night nappy I've seen are the Dream Eze's that Jayne sells at Nurture.
We have one and it does fine for Ben, he's not a heavy wetter so you might need more boosting - they have them in OV now too

Thanks Nicky
I might have to give them a whirl as they are quite easy to get and I really like side snapping nappies. I have a few things already on order from nurture - itti, bummis, bumgenius and rumpster - what's one more nappy Lucky I have a secret nappy account - DH loves all my nappies but thinks I buy most of them from e-bay for a song ROFL

I have one of those too I've found bamboo and microfibre great at night as a combo in a fleece pocket. Lily is night dry so does a MASSIVE wee in the morning and refuses to use the potty Bamboo is sooo absorbent without being too bulky

The best & trimmest thing we found for nights when DD was a major heavy wetter was the VBSN with the small internal booster folded in half and placed in the wetzone, plus I used to put extra boosters on the outside of the nappy...usually a small-medium one folded in half. That put around 23 layers of hemp (am I counting right?) in the wetzone. I was never game to try fleece again after one disasterous experience, but with a trusty wool cover, she'd wake up very wet but not sopping.
It was a bubble-butt look but not too bad. She could roll over with it too. Perhaps slant his matress up slightly (head end) so that it gives him a tiny bit of a headstart over gravity, if he needs it.
