Default Should I try to TT her?

I just had this thought today..maybe I could try TTing Becky? TBH, I don't want to It's too much work for me right now (well putting a nappy on while she's running isn't the easiest task either), I'm having a lot going on as it is so I'm not sure I want to do that. And I love nappies too much

I read it somewhere that its not worth TTing bubs under 18months old (Becky is 17 months)because they're simply not ready. They also don't suggest doing it in cooler months, so doesn't seem like we'll be doing it until later this year? She will be over 2

She is almost toilet aware..or so I believe. She's telling me when she has done pee or poo (only during nappy free time, but I can tell if she's pooing in the nappy). She will look down trying to see her products even if they haven't come out yet Does that mean she's aware?

Should I try TTing her? Or should I wait until she's ready? but how do I know that she is? And how do I start if I decide to TT her?

Tell you what..this is a lot more confusing than starting cloths

Ying don't push it.

My opinion is that when the child can talk or tell you exactly what they require then it will be hard work.

I remember my first DD at about 18months showing the signs so i tried and I think after a few good days it turned bad really quickly. She wasn't ready and it was just a novelty.

So what if becky is TT at 2 and a bit. I pretty much TT both girls more of when it was convenient for me at 2.3yrs and looking back i wish I hadn;t pushed the issue.

Flynn can TT when he wants and there will be no pressure from me. It helps that I am not working so much now so i will have time to do it.

I can see where you are coming from with posts about EC and the no nappies thread but don't compare you child to any other as that is not how it works.

Relax and enjoy becky and her nappies.

I would buy a potty and get her to start sitting on it - if she wants to - don't force her - if she isn't interested - then she isn't interested. Start off with her on the potty with a nappy on - let her guide you. See if she likes it. We've had potties out for almost a year now - and it's only been the last few months we've been encouraging Emma and Brandon to do wee on there, and it's only the last week or so they actually have. She may surprise you.

I would start with introducing the toilet to her..let her follow u in and embarrassing as it sounds..really be animated and enthusiastic about the whole event. I second buying a potty and just leaving it near the toilet.

Yeah Rebecca, I think reading all the posts about EC and TTing has me thought about this. Being over 2 years and TT isn't really a bad thing of course. I'll make sure I keep enjoying Becky and her nappies

Thanks for the tips Julies Will buy a potty and see how we go. I won't push her - if she's ready, she's ready
