When they are newborns and waking for feeds I change every feed Just have the nappies beside our bed and change then feed..........Never had any problems with my kids going back to sleep, even when I have had to do another change after the feed we cosleep when they are little (what am i talking about we cosleep till they are ready to get out sometimes 4 or 5 sleep with us )

When they are older I change as needed.......If they wake and seem unhappy the first thing to be done is change nappy then they get a drink........Although if they wake and just seem unsettled for a drink they just get that IYKWIM .......If they don't wake they go through the night

Coby had his nappy changed last night as he was very upset...I discovered a very toxic poo poor little thing......DH must have went over board with the cauliflower again

Do what works best for you and bub

We do the last all night option too. Ayla doesn't actually wake for her night feeds, they are pretty much dream feeds, and if I were to change her nappy it would mean she would be totally awake.
She generally goes for at least 12 hours (with a feed inbetween) in the same nappy...but she's not a heavy wetter - she can go the 12 hours in a BB Hemp nap.

We try to have one nappy all night but since Milly has been sleeping for longer stretches she occasionaly poos during the night and so we then have to change her.

Younger I changed every feed, then he pretty much slept through so I left it. The nappy only gets changed when he wakes for that reason and also if I go in there when he wakes and I get hit by the smell of ammonia (from teething)!

I changed Liam every feed for the first 8 weeks (didn't know any better!)
Now I put on a super thick nightnappie -BBB with all the inserts, and then a flat nappy on the outside of the BBB with a PUL over all of that.

I always changed every feed.
DD#1 always poo'ed when feeding. It was a ritual of hers.

Now with Ellie I change before I go to bed (around 10.30ish). I do that because I know she will be wet and I don't like the idea of her lying in urine for the next 9 hours, microfleece or not. 99% of the time she is wet, if not I leave her.
She used to wake up at first but very quickly learnt not to wake when I changed her.

Now it is no problem, I can even change her clothes and she doesn't wake.
All my girls learnt to do that.

I only changed when a change wasnt gonna disturb them from their sleep - which was never with Delilah cause shes always slept through and had feeds still asleep, lol! Houston I would change at times when he was wide awake anyway and wasnt returning to sleep any time soon - which was often and just about every time he woke for the 3 years he was in nappys.
Now I have MM pockets stuffed to the hilt to cope with DD peeing every 5 minutes through the night, lol. They last 12 hours though so gotta be happy with that!

my boys hated being changed at night - i mean screamed. I quickly had to find an all night nappy solution for my BIG WEER's and i mean BIG!!!!

From very young I try to make it go all night. Hence my little man is in bed tonight in two (yes two 2) VBSN's and wool longies, cause it's actually cold here tonight. Henry was very similar and needed 25 layers of hemp and wool soakers (sometimes 2) to last all night. My boys are the real bubble bumm boys LOL

When DD stopped pooing at night we stopped changing her. That was at about 8 weeks. I would not wake a bub up just to change a nappy but that's just my opinion
