We're going to Gold Coast next month and staying at Paradise Resort. I checked on their website and they have a laundry service. I'm not sure if it's a laundromat where you do your own laundry or someone does it for you and charge a ridiculous price like most hotels. Either way, it shouldn't be too hard to find a laundromat in Gold Coast right?
We're are for 2 nights and 3 days and I'm thinking if I should just bring everything back home to do laundry (I mean nappies)? It's a bit of a hassle to do laundry there as I'll have to carry the detergent with me (Omo sensitive is that only thing I wash the nappies)....but maybe I can just use soap nuts? Would it be even worse to carry wet and dirty nappies back home? Becky uses about 5 nappies a day now includes a night nappy. So that will be roughly 10-15 nappies...hmmm ![]() What do you think?

I'd say bring it home Ying and wash at home. YOu could always put beckys clothes in a suitcase with yours and nappies in their own bag.
We went away for 4 nights but that was driving and we just brought them home and did a wash then.

Ying I would bring them home..You have plenty to keep you going for a few days
![]() You are only going for 2 or 3 days aren't you??? If you go to a laundromat you will waste half a day there washing and drying nappies

yes i would bring it back to wash at home. that's what we do when we go away for the weekend (i just use my bummis med tote bag as that's what i already have. and use a plastic bag for day trips. not ideal but it works and saves having to buy another wetbag).
longer than that, and we wash in the shower and hang on the balcony. how exciting ying - a holiday!!!

We used a plastic shopping bag and it was for 5 days, no smells and yes saved spending more money on bags.

I'd call the hotel and ask them what the laundry facilities are for a start.
If they have a laundry you can use, then you can always decide to do, say one wash during your trip to lessen the load, and take just enough detergent to do that (not the whole bottle). Maybe buy a couple of those pail pals/citrus circles....

What about using flushable liners so you can just flush the poo away and bring everything else home. You could also rinse the dirty one's in the bathroom/shower before bringing them home too.
I'd just use a plastic garbage bag to put them in, and maybe take a box of carb soda to sprinkle in it for any smells. Boy, this brings back memories.... I had to do similar with Dian when staying at friends houses!
