Well S had a stage where she would leak out the legs of pretty much any nappy when on her side. Now she mostly sleeps on her front or back (thank goodness!).

Might work, you could still use fleece lined nappies and just use a bamboo booster next to the skin. When it gets full it will slowly seep into the nappy???? just an idea.

![]() I think I'm cursed by the night-nappy gremlins ![]() Good idea, Michelle, I'll change my boosting of the night naps around a bit and see if they then work a little better on bubba. Another question - does anyone find any difference in leg-fit between a "frill" around the legs like a BBB and a more straight style like Bubblebubs? The only nappies I have with a "frill" are the night nappies.

Oh this will be an interesting thread. I have a side sleeper also. Your theory may be correct, I wonder. I've been thinking I'll have to boost around her legs to catch the side wee. I'd love to know what your solution is.

Mmmmm, yes well don't hold your breath. My solution at the moment is a boosted bamboo Motherease with a PUL Motherease cover, but I'm only using that after the 10pm feed, so not the whole night. But I've had various "solutions" over the last couple of months, none of which have lasted as bubba has thrown something new at me each time.

I think your theory makes sense. Gravity is working against the fleece liner - so maybe the wee isn't hitting the liner with as much oompf (more of a trickle) and so not going through the liner as well.
I'm a bit over fleece lined nappies. I'm not interested in a "stay dry" layer during the day - I'd rather change the nappy after each wee (if possible - it's not always) than have it full of urine. We still use a a stay dry layer at night but I'd rather it wasn't a sewn in/ full body layer of fleece. The fleece seems to deteriorate faster than the rest of the nappy fabric (obviously depends on the quality of materials used in the first place) and fleece seems to hold stains better than any other nappy fabric

maybe try tucking the frill in around the legs, so it works to help hold the wee in, a bit like a gusset?

robyn, i think your theory makes sense.
i also prefer a non-fleece liner. with amelie i thought fleece inners were fantastic for their stay-dry effect. but pee runoff started happening, and then benji became allergic to the fleece/PUL. we only use fleece when it's 'bulit in' (VBSNs).
