nope. its only 2 layers of microfibrebut yes built in.

im pretty sure the motherease bedwetter pants were just cotton tooi read here once someone tried them - maybe do a search...

jade used a sidesnap large bubblebubs to pull up/down - but i added a hemp prefold to itworked great - she pulled it off and i put it back on anyways

I love my honey boy pull ups and i have happy heiny's as well but struggle with the stuffing of them.

Sorry to hijack a bit but anyone care to share what they stuff with? I usually use the thirsties microfibre inserts but need to change to something to hold more wee for nighttime but I'll be buggered if I can stuff them properly.

this is all hypothetical for me, as we are not at that stage yet, i just read threads on Trainers in anticipation for when we get to that stage.

i had assumed, from the reading about the trainers, that the microfibre inserts were for daytime accidents, like not getting to the loo in time, and that the pocket trainers were for the nights - this is the bit where i didn't actually see it spelt out - but i assumed - because of the longer period of time, that just like night nappies, you'd need a bamboo trifold at least.

a few layers of microfibre i would never trust for a night of wee-ing

or maybe that's appropriate when your bub is at the stage where they wake to go to the loo in the middle of the night ???

so just guesses from me (thinking out loud).

reading another thread tonight about kids who are day TT but not night TT - there seems to be alot of variation. Sounds like some kids go straight from nappies to underwear, other kids use trainers inbetween. i find it all a bit confusing, very unsure what the heck we'll do when the time comes!

I also stock Bumwear pull-up pants. Side snaps for easy clean-up. Pocket style and come with one microfibre insert, but I'd stuff them with two microfibre or a bamboo insert for nights.

Wow what a great thread for discussion.
Blueberry trainers: I wouldn't bother stuffing internally for nights, I havefound success with just adding boosters to a honey boy pull up works fine - no complaints from the user and no leaks. Every time I have seen them mentioned in this section it is that they are very absorbent. I have two on the way and I plan to add boosters to them!!!
Stuffing Happy Heiny Trainers: Oh yes, working out the stuffing I found tricky, but this is my formula for my front and back sleepers ie, never know which side it will be!
small for 2yo: along the wet zone - 1 microfibre insert, 1 hemp trifold (6layers), these are pushed to the front leaving room for an additional folded hemp booster placed horizontally across the back or two short ones. Then I put a microfibre cleaning cloth folded to a across-wise twice (to make a short rectangle) also across the back and across the front - this provides some absorbency on the sides so no gaps. This combination achieves some quick absorbency in the microfibre and high volume holding on to the wee for leak prevention in the hemp. (no science in choosing it, the microfibre booster same with the trainer and the rest was taken from the nappy stash!!).
med for 5yo: along the wet zone pushed right up the front - 1 hemp trifold (6 layers) and 1 bamboo and cotton terry trifold (3layers each - pinched from the 2yo's Bongo Pull Up nappy!!), 1 folded hemp booster across the back. Lastly, a folded microfibre cleaning cloth across the front, and two of them across the back. This one does leak a small amount, but I am happy given she is a 5 yo who was dry overnight and regressed on starting school, so she normally holds on overnight adn when does wet the bed it is massive!! Once again, the cotton terry and microfibre provide quick absorbency, the hemp and bamboo the high volume holding it in capacity.
Oh yes, the the other thing I learned is the importance of having the sides stuffed, not just the wet zone!
Different uses of trainers, pull up nappies, etc: To touch on an answer to Bilby's thoughts, each child has different uses of trainers and others, some like in the other thread today, don't need anything and are perfect from the start. Our experience (of 2 girls, so pretty small sample!!) is that they don't treat pull ups, trainers like nappies, but they do have accidents whether naked, undies, trainers, nappies. My model has been to (when they are ready) eliminate the nappies, to use undies at home, to use what I estimate is needed to stop accidents when out. With our 2yo now (we used disposable with the 5yo back then!!) I started out with pull up nappies, once I worked out that accidents when out were because she had issues with toilets that didn't have a potty insert on them, we used trainers or pull up nappies ie more protection for longer trips, now she is weeing more regularly and usually before going out, so it is undies or trainers ie more protection depending on the length of trip. She is known for being slow and methodical, so it has been very slow and methodical for her, but I don't think it will be long until she is confident enough to go just undies. She has been toilet timed by me, though and is only just starting to initiate going to the toilet herself, we started the pull ups because she didn't want nappies and I went with the flow and it has been pretty successful. So there you go - TMI!!!
Other uses of trainers is to catch the dribble on the way to the toilet - we don't have that use, as stopping mid flow is too hard for our DD1or2, they both have/had the habit of leaving it too late!! Once it starts, even if stopped, what comes before the stop is puddle quality!!
Oh and night weeing, I don't expect a night pull up to hold what a night nappy does, I change a wet night pull up/trainer if found, when I go to bed (and surprisingly, neither DD wakes up, well DD1 does sort of, but not enough to stay awake). I only changed night nappies if the child indicated they wanted that (rarely). By toilet training stage, I have found they wee once or twice overnight, if twice, before I go to bed - well that is for my small sample size - others may be different.
Okay, time for me to be quiet!!
cheers,

No problems Bilby! I am always amazed at the variation in kids with toilet training and the progress they make.
cheers,
