how so JohT? i handwash our bumjumper, can you machine wash them?
(I got an 2nd hand, but in great condition, XL electricity trust jumper, cut off the raglan sleeves, overlocked all the raw edges, and overlocked the armholes together to make a bumjumper. it's 100% wool. i hotwashed it first for any shrinkage. It's a machine knit so didn't felt in a way i could see easily. few weeks ago, i got some 100% wool jumpers at an opshop, i hotwashed those and they shrunk HEAPS, big jumpers that now look like kindy age kid jumpers. I had been hoping to make bumjumpers out of those too, but now they are too small ( ).opshops are chokka block with acryllic jumpers. i gotta find out how to felt properly - i must be doing something wrong to shrink those jumpers so badly. The felting is MASSIVE but now there is not enough material to make bumjumpers out of (in each jumper). the sleeves are too small now.

I love wool too, when you are felting did you do it for a full hot wash and then completelt dry in the dryer. I find if I hand hot wash then only a little in the dryer at a time to felt to the size I want
