Is she ready for TT?

Our 2 1/4 (born march 06) DD has been doing a wee and/or poo in the potty after dinner each night for about 4 weeks. I've been putting off TT her as we have a darling new baby so I thought she might regress.

BTW Ying I think I bought some of your girl nappies! Love them.

She has a poo in her nappy in the morning and after her midday sleep but it is often at random times at other times during the day so I'm a bit scared to put her in undies. She is in sposies, the newborn has MCN.

If she can wee and poo in the potty after a meal could I start TT? I try in the morning after I get up but if she has already done a poo in the nappy then there is nothing in the potty.

Hmmm, what do you all think?

I say give TT a go If you can tell when she's going to wee and poo, it makes TT a little easier. I know that Becky usually poos before lunch time so I put a potty out and tell her to poo in it. She still hasn't done it in the potty though but I'm in no rush.

She only started to wee in the potty the first time last week and she's turning 3 in September. A bit slow in TT I'm sure, but it's a little easier for both of us right now because she's older and she starts to really "get" it yk?

I'm having another baby in September so I'm in no hurry to TT her She will do it when she's ready. And you're right, with a change in her life/family she might regress so don't stress about it Becky only did it in a potty once last week and since then we haven't had much success I'm still encouraging her to wee in a potty though and if she doesn't want to, I'm fine with it too.

Id give it a go - buy some trainers for her instead of going staight to undies and maybe put the on her at times she would use the potty, not all the time at first. See how you go - you'll soon know if she's ready or not. Theres no harm in trying, and just because theres a new baby in the home doesnt mean she will regress at all - infact she might fit comfortably in being the 'big girl' now and embrace TT even more.
