    Question Night time pants

Jude was been using the toilet all by himself for the past week or two with no initiation from us and I am so happy as he was always a nudie and I was constantly cleaning up the floor. Jude now doesn't want to wear a nappy to bed which is ok, except he has had a few accidents.

Has anyone had any experience with overnight pants. They have to be absorbant otherwise he might as well just wear undies if I am going to be changing sheets.

Will he let you put one on once he is asleep.

Flynn still wears a nappy to bed cause I know we would have wet sheets otherwise, which is a PITA.

    No other advice really

I've just started using some custom night pocket pants from Noonee Wilga. Ben stayed dry the first night but didn't make it to the toilet in the morning. The pants didn't hold the whole GIANT wee so I boosted more the next night (hemp booster that came with the pants plus a Baby Beehinds bamboo booster). Again, he woke dry and again didn't get to the loo in time but the pants held it all.

Marnie also made some one-wet-pants for him and they are all a perfect fit. Easier for Ben to get on and off than regular undies as they're a little more 'structured' and they catch any accidents when we're out and about.

I wouldn't use nappy pants. I didn't with the boys. What I did instead was put down plastic matress cover and sheet then another cover and another sheet (until I had 3 or 4 layers)

Accident happens... no problem, rip off top sheet and cover and the bed is made

The boys only had a couple of accidents and they learnt very quickly. They went to bed at 6pm, I woke them at 10 then at 1 before I went to bed.

Thanks Nicole, I'll have a look at nw.

Thanks for the advice Mel, unfortunately I just don't have the sheets to cover all the beds in our bedroom over and over. If Jude slept in only 1 bed it would be fine, but he could end up in any of the beds.

the nappy fairy arrives in this house once they are asleep. With a busted up hand, I just can't fight wigglers for nappies. I do it when they are sleeping

I thought about it but worry about not respecting his wish not to wear a nappy and Jude waking up and seeing the nappy and it affecting him. Does that make sense?

Ben loves his pants from NW...he's a "big boy now. No more nappies Mum" and the owp's and pocket pants are in cute fleece patterns and look & feel more like undies. Marnie is so helpful and will help you work out the perfect solution for Jude.

Michael is 5 in about a week or so and still needs something at night time. He goes to bed without a nappy and then we put one on him later when he is asleep. He knows that that is what will happen, its no surprise although there have been times that we have been too late when we go to put it on and he has already wet the bed and having to change clothes, sheets etc and put a nappy on means that he is pretty awake and he has resisted having a nappy put on. I've just talked to him explaining that I know that he doesnt want to wear one anymore and when we have 5 dry nights we can do that but at the moment as much as we know that he doesnt want to wet the bed it just happens so he really needs a nappy on. He gets it eventually even nights when he's a bit ratty.

Levi is TT, he doesnt wear a nappy at all during the day nor the night.... (although he wont do a no.2 on the toilet thats a seperate caper) I did put him in washable TT undies which I bought from best and less, they worked a treat as he didnt like the thought of wearing a nappy to bed ("mummy, im a big boy, i dont wear nappies")

    Worked well for us!
