Marlie is 5.1kgs and they fit him fine.....are you crossing over the snaps in front (the left side first then the right over the top?)

They are awesome for my night nappies!

This is the BBB on angus aged 2 weeks (I think he was around 5kgish then) as you can see they were too loose around his little legs (looking at that pic now I can't believe he was so small!)

I think we started using them from around 4 weeks (when we was around 6kg) for night nappies and they fit well then (he would go through 3-4 a night) So maybe give him a bit longer and try again then

I have used mine as night nappies on Jake since he was a tiny tot, maybe 3.5kg? they were huge, a massive bubble butt! lol

Maybe they just aren't a good fit for Ashton? I don't have any pics atm....but I'll try to take one tomorrow for you. I have a couple of bbh off B4B that are very stretched and he still wears them on the NB setting. Actually this could be why they don't fit maybe?? Are they second hand or new?

If they are loose around the legs you can tuck in the frills (I dunno what they are meant to be called!) to help give a better fit. I do this.

you can tuck the leg frills in to fill up any gaps if you have them around the legs.

how many of the boosters have you got in there?

you can try that nappy in stages
    - JUST the nappy
    - the nappy with the short insert
    - the nappy with the long insert
    - the nappy with both inserts
So which variation are you doing?
Are you folding down the tummy side? and crossing over the snaps?

Many nappy sites have a GALLERY section where you see different aged bubs wearing the products, i'm sure BabyBeeHinds.com.au - Fitted cloth nappies for your little honey! has a link for photos.

it's not just the WEIGHT of a bub, it's also their body shape

it's very easy to OVERSTUFF a fitted with inserts, leading to leg gape issues, so be careful not to do that. better to OUTER boost than risk leg gape (e.g leaks).

i think my bub at six weeks, was still too small for the BBB. every bub is different. we used prefolds and nb sized covers at the start, they are very adjustable.

Anyway you could post a pic of your bub in the BBB so we could see what's going on?
(And how you have prepped the nappy e.g one or two inserts.)

    keep us posted missymoo

    got it
Took me a couple of tries cos he was screaming and kicking cos he hates being undressed. Once he calmed down I worked it all out Leg frills tucked in did the trick with a small bbh pul cover Fits nicely now. Fingers crossed I don't get any leaks.
    Thanks everyone!

ETA: omg I just looked at the bbh site and NOW I know why it was too big. I didn't realise you could fold the front down!! Doh!! He is asleep but when he wakes look out haha mummy on a mission!

Thanks Bilbylove for the outter boosting idea!! i will have to give that a try too
