    Default Summer and MCN

My little guy is just so very hot. What can I do to help reduce his discomfort?

fitteds no covers, with just a singlet.

You know if he was wearing a disposable, he would actually be hotter. Disposables actually raise the temperature in the nappy area

What nappies are you using at the moment? MCN's are actually cooler than disposables as they are usually made from natural fibres or PUL which is more breathable than plastic.

During summer you can use a fitted nappy without a cover and change him when he feels wet or you could try a wool cover over the top. Wool is a natural fibre that self regulates tempreture so is MUCH cooler than plastic and PUL.

fitteds and singlets would be my choice as well. We did terry flats and singlets when my eldest was born - we sweltered away at 42 deg for nearly a week after her birth.

what is he wearing and how old is he?

my bub wore fitted MCN with wool soakers last summer (we had some 45 degree days) and that worked really well.

    Hiya Hunni,

We prefer either just fitteds or fleece/minky aio's here in summer. They just seem to breathe a lot better than PUL.

    Good-luck with your lil man!
