Default Nappies for Special Needs People

Is there a list of makers who do nappies for special needs people? If so can you please point me to it.

If not, could you please throw some names at me of people who do make nappies for older people. Ta

oooh I had never thought of cloth adult nappies!! My oldest DD is intellectually disabled so regularly wets the bed still. These would make life so much easier and cheaper. I wonder if I can convince her.....

Hi All, just found this link - what a great idea! Am searching through the web, but having difficulty finding a UK site that does adult size nappies in cloth; if I give up and have a go myself, I'll put a link to the design on the thread.

Have been looking for years for somthing like this. My partner uses adult nappies because of cerebral palsy, and the sheer waste and uncomfortableness of the disposables really gets to me. We used cloth for our little girl, and it's great to see people are pointing out the benefits of cloth vs disposables for adults too.

Well I did a search before I posted, so decided to give this one a little nudge!

My little brother is now pushing 21, and is Autistic/Other conditions as it goes with any blanket diagnosis... I am in New Zealand and have been searching and emailing every Company under the son here that deals in Cloth Nappies to no luck

So a friend of mine linked me hear tonight on MSN! (think she googled her way here) And here I am.

Does anyone know of any stores that make Adult Cloth Nappies and if so, if they would ship to New Zealand.

We are tired of Dispoable, hes a active one, like to play and investigate anything that moves... and chase cats around the place to find out what they do They were just not designed for active people, I think its because the majority are disabled mobility wise.

The problem is with the sides which are digging into him, as he moves about to much. We just figure cloth would be a lot more gentle and snug. then perhaps the horrible marks appearing on his sides will finally disappear.

    Anyway! Help Welcome!!

Hi - i am a 54 year old man who wears cloth nappies every night and I got my last lot of Terry toweling nappies from the NSW Department of Corrective Services who make an adult nappy. I use Australian made plastic pants (pilchers) which are now being phased out of production so I will be forced to pay through the nose for overseas manufactured pilchers soon.

If your brother is active you will find that cloth nappies will sag when wet and possibly fall off - regardless how well you pin them on if he walks around a lot. The best way to overcome this is to use a fitted sleeper that does up in the crotch and effectively hold everything in place.

Good luck in your search and I am happy to answer any questions.

there is a great ebay store called yuyun, who make a nice selection of teen/adult sized cloth nappies, plastic pants and cloth lined plastic pants. the prices are good and the quality is good also.

eBay Australia Shop - YUYUN: Adult Baby Diaper, cloth diapers, adult diaper
