WAHM Nappy Sizings

Not sure if this is the right place but am after some advice don't what to publish who/what these nappies are, jsut need to know if i should lump it or approach the WAHM..

Ipurchased 2 popular (well known) WAHM nappies prior to Chrismas (from same WAHM). I know she sells a lot of them...anyway the nappies are supposed to be the same size but when I compare the nappies (they were purchased a couple of weeks apart but have had the same number of washes/waers) they are very different sizes and even the shape of the boosters is different.

Is it reasonable to expect/assume that WAHM nappies should be the same (i am not talking minisucle differences here), or is that just part and parcel of buying WAHM nappies?

TIA...just thought I should find out if I am being unrealistic in my expectations before I approach the nappy maker.

Are the fabrics the same? I have noticed difference in brands between outers of PUL and minkee for example or even inners of velour or flannel.

As a WAHM myself I want to know if a customer has a question or if my products/s didnt meet expectation.

I am sure the WAHM would be more than happy to hear from you and work out what the problem is...maybe one nappy was labelled incorrectly? maybe they were sewn by different people?

yeah wahm standard 'medium' say can differ greatly, its best to go not only by weight recommendations, but more so by the measurements (which is quite difficult if you are not so handy with a measuring tape like melol) - and if still in doubt ask the wahm what they think.
even if they were purchased a month ago i would approach the wahm - most will explain or even help as much as they can

They are exactly the same fabric.

JohT...not talking about the 'sizing'per say, just the difference between two nappies that should be the same size.

Most definitely tell the WAHM. I know with some of my nappies, I use the same pattern for different styles and just dependant on how I make it one will be a smaller fit then the other.

I think you should say something, although that being said I got a refund from a WAHM and it was less than it should of been, but I never confronted them about it, just let it go, so I'm not one to talk

I see it like this - Is there a problem with the fit of either nappy?

If you'd bought just one - would you have been happy with it?

If there is no problem with the fit then I'd just see it as one of the unique things about buying handmade items. I don't think it is reasonable to expect a handmade product to always be exactly the same.

If the fit is the problem then contact the seller.

I would contact the wahm. It could be an honest mistake or very easily explained.

Sabrehunter, I would contact the wahm regarding your refund too. Again it could be an honest oversight on their part. If it were me and I'd refunded someone incorrectly I'd be mortified and would want to know straight away.

Sabrehunter - was the refund for the total cost less postage? Most of us will do refunds etc but we don't refund the cost of postage.
