    Blueberry ones

everyone who had used them will they hold a big Wee in the morning. ?

And does any one of a great TT book ds1 took forever to toilet train so I want to get it right this time as DS1 seems to be earlier them ds1 plus we are going to QLD in October so challenge ahead.

We have a fun book called I Can Flush. It has a little speaker and when you press it when you turn the page it flushes!

I don't think that most "trainers" will hold a big morning wee. You would need to get special night pull ups for his. I think most trainers are deisigned to hold a little bit of wee so you don't end up with a big puddle or wee running down their legs during the day. We use Starbunz superundies heavily boosted for nights, but these are PUL. I think Nonee Wilga may make some stuffable ones that could be good. You want ones which are stuffable so you can put a little bit in for day and more for night.

Our pick is Mo Willem's Time to Pee. It is a funny little book about the feeling you get when you want to go, and then what to do.. Like a little rhyme I think. There are stickers at the back of the book if you use rewards.

The illustrations are great. We love his Knuffle Bunny series. American, was one of the Sesame Street writers.

dunno about trainers with a booster, but i can think of POCKET trainers, that you put an insert inside.

simple simon (at twins in cloth site)
starbunz (at darlingsdownunder) they are a aio/pocket hybrid
    bumwear (at brindabella baby)
    happy heiny

the brollysheets website (nz) has toilet training books on their site. i bought one about night training. (thinking it would be hard).

i got my child in the habit, of me putting her on the loo every morning, after she woke up, to catch that first big weedle. Now she is trained, she won't co-operate with that, she will only go when SHE is in charge of saying when (!!!), a considerable amount of time AFTER she wakes up - which always surprises me, cos i thought most people urgently needed to wee, when they wake up. but she is not having accidents, so she DOES know her own "urges". still shocks me, i expected her to be in nappies for another year, it's happened so much sooner than i'd imagined.

I am not sure about a book, but I have my eye on the Daddle Doo training pants at wahmnaps for when DS needs them. They are pull up pockets

what do you do when it is a big poo that wakes him in the morning.. not a big wee? IT could be at 5am and he just plays qietly till its time to get up, or it could be after breakfast.. it is IMPOSSIBLE for me to predict it.... do you think the same tactic is right?

Bilbylove, I thought I was the only one with those thoughts! We have the exact same situation and I too thought "the first thing I want to do when I get up is go to the toilet". The blueberrys held the huge wee in for us, and I found that if I found out about it soon after, it didn't wet her pants over the top. The worst we got was some dampness on the pants.

Poo-wise, the times can change, but we have followed the same routine and tips ie. wake up, toilet, then follow DD's "instructions". Big difference for us is that she'll tell us, even in the morning if she's ready to come off or not. Like yesterday, she wouldn't let me take her off the toilet and kept saying "poo". I know that's no help for you, but we didn't use a special tactic just for poos.

bilby refuses to come off the toilet, if she knows there is "more to come". No matter if the adult is saying "hurry up, we have to get going", etc, she knows what she knows and sticks to that! i am proud of her, for listening to her own instinct, even when it means going against what an adult is telling her to do.

so she sits there and the evidence arrives shortly after LOL.

i am proud of my little girl.

i put alot of trust in her, the way we toilet trained, and i think that is paying off now. i am so grateful to that EC-ing site "tribal baby". As i have a child with very limited speech for her age, we used the signs approach, and i felt we developed a closeness, through the toilet training, similar to alot of our unspoken language around breastfeeding. both are intimate experiences, that we both shared. sounds weird, but made sense to me at the time. I think she liked me respecting her, she says she needs to go (well in her way), i take her seriously, reassure her about what's going on, and praise her at every step.

i think the CC i take her to are puzzled. bilby is language delayed, i know they suspect that me
    - refusing to leave the centre if bilby is upset, until she is calm and happy to play
    - breastfeeding her at drop off and pickup
are "bad" things that will delay her development, keep her "babyish"
but bilby is one of the few in her cc room that
    - don't use a dummy
    - is toilet trained
which doesn't add up to her being "babyish" at all.
i feel right about our attachment parenting style.
