Toilet Training and Training Pants?

Hi...

Daycare has suggested we use those expensive training pants that Huggies make. They are very expensive, as far as I am concerned. i will do it if it works, but...

Just wondering are their cloth alternatives, are they worth it - pants in general/ cloth alternatives.

There are cloth alternatives and it is certainly cheaper than pull ups - they cost lots especially if there are regular 'accidents'
I got some second hand noonee wilga pants for my DS1 that are still going strong and DS2 is in them now. They look just like jocks but hold a wee and don't wet my floors/furniture etc.

Agree...I can't believe how much those pull-ups cost! I've never had to get training pants, so no experience here. I did see these recently Toddlers and Training - Elimination Communication - Modern Cloth Nappies in Australia, Close Parent Ltd, Haute Baby Products, Cushie Tushies, Planet Wise they look like they would be easy to use for daycare.
