hi hope im not crashing your thread but id just thought id pop in and say its actually not that hard i have just spent around 3-4 months of this yr travelling around in a 4wd towing a camper trailer and i did cloth about 95% of the time i was in the bush most of the time and only used a washing mashine once, i found pockets were the best as they dried quicker and when it was raining flats were the best as they dry quick my only problem was at night as most night nappies take longer to dry, so maybe if you could get some fleece pockets for night that might make it easyer any way hope it all goes well any u have lots of fun

carly

Joh - I'm going bushcamping next week for a month and we're mainly using fleece covers with terry flats (in a pad fold) for days and then fitteds and fleece covers at night.

You can do it! fleece and terrys dry really quick and is really easy to wash - either in a strange washing machine (those fabrics seem to be able to withstand anything) or by hand washing!

'Course, I'm also using flushable liners. Easier to get rid of poo.

im starting to wish i hadn't got rid of my fleece covers now (even though bree could undo them under clothes) - has anybody tried padfolding terry or flanellete square with pul sidesnap covers??

I have but it doesn't work as well as fleece covers. It does work but the moisture pretty much sat on the pul instead of the fleece moving it to the absorbent material - so it didn't last for as long....

Anyway, that's why I went on that fleece cover snaps buying/swapping spree recently in the Trading Room here to prepare for the trip. You still have time to do that though don't you?

Yep, I was thinking that disposable liners would be the way to go as well. Or maybe those nappies - are they called Eenees? They have a disposable pad that is supposedly composting?

I found the Eenees disposable pad really hard to work with. You have to tear them up before flushing them and that's really icky work for a wee and poo phobic like me.

Also when camping, the bush toilets don't really cope with the disposable pad.
