What we do...and don't do

Hi all,

With the forum getting bigger, I just thought it would be good to give everyone a run down on who the NC staff are and all of our different roles within Nappycino.

So here's the list!

Site Administrator and Owner - Jo

Jo is the site administrator and owner of the site. She is responsible for the technical content of the forum and the content of the Nappycino home page, including the business directory, and advertising. Jo also resolves issues/problems that can not be resolved by Forum Administrators.

Jo's "powers" on this site are vast - as you can see by the fact that she is the only one with a moving user title.

Jo is a superwoman- she is a mum, an out-of-the-home worker, runs this site and Buy for Baby. She also doesn't sleep much. She can be bribed with chocolates.

Forum Administrators - Bronnie and Kermi

Bronnie and Carmen are the forum administrators. We are responsible for forum content and the coordination of our lovely moderators.

We can do pretty much everything a moderator or super moderator can do. In addition we can also:

- Change usernames
- Edit and Change people's password and/or access
- Approve requests to start up "special" threads (read the guidelines if you don't know what that means! )
- Approve the use of the forums to collect money/goods for charity

Bronnie is a mum to four children and her user title pretty much describes her. She can be bribed with pretty much anything.

Carmen is mum to four and is addicted to living more sustainably but with gadgets. She can be bribed with Coccolo or Kaoka Chocolate or real rose turkish delight.

Super Moderator – JohT, Kris and ~Melissa~

Joh, Kris and Melissa are the people who mentor all the moderators and moderates right across the NC forum. They're probably the nicest people on the boards and can always be relied on to cheer people up. (They really should charge counselling fees.... aren't we lucky we get to have them for free!!! )

Between the three of them, they also probably would have the most amazing cloth nappy and woolies stash. So please don't bribe them with that. I would suggest bribing Melissa with a really good coffee or more quiet time, Kris with really really reliable and fast broadband and Joh with scrapbooking supplies (yes, despite her protests, she is really really creative.).

Moderators – Karena, Theresa, Tikki, AliP, Candice, Leah, mummygeorgie, Obsi, *Tracee*, Pandamum and Melchpeppi

Our lovely moderators are the reason why Nappycino is a fantastic place to be. They are the ones who, everyday, balance the need to protect this site; to ensure compliance with Nappycino guidelines and help the wide variety of members that we have.

They can edit/move/delete posts and threads as well as change signatures and avatars.

While our moderators are assigned forums to moderate, they do have the power to moderate other forums as well. If the moderator(s) of the forum you are in is not available, please contact the other moderators.

All of our moderators can be bribed with anything OOAK.

Now, what we DON’T do...

Having outlined what we do, I feel its also important to outline what we don’t do.

It is not our role to solve members’ problems with other members. Our growing community means that we will come across people who can not see eye to eye. It is not our moderators’ role to stop disagreements. Rather it is their role to ensure that disagreements on the public boards are done in a way that is still respectful of others. Please read our Nappycino Guidelines on this matter as this is our approach for moderating disagreements.

Further, if members do believe that a particular post is against guidelines, then the way to resolve it is to either PM the moderator(s)/Supermoderator or Forum Admin OR by clicking on the exclamation icon on top right side of that post. This exclamation icon will ensure that post is reported to the right moderators for that forum. Please do not request that a post be edited/deleted by replying on that thread.

It is not our role to solve members’ problems with businesses. Sometimes moderators and Forum Admin help out with this but it *is* something extra on our parts. Please do not expect this service as part of our standard duties.

If a member has a problem with a moderator, then contact the Super Moderator.

If a member has a problem with a Super Moderator, then please contact Forum Admin.

If a member has a problem with Forum Admin, then please contact Site Admin.
