Site Problems - update

Hi all,

Everyone is having troubles getting onto NC atm. Anyway, have heard from Jo and this is what's happened:

We've had a followup from the hosting company and basically atm during peak periods we are exceeding our maximum server processes and memory allocation. I'm hoping this is only because of the swap...but who knows. Bottom line for it continuing is that we will need to a) deal with it or b) upgrade the memory to 512mb for another $15US a month.

At this stage, Jo is reconsidering her options...

Well if thepeople who really want the problem fixed donated $2 each that's only around 7 people for this month and if it is just the swap that exceeded the limit, then it can go back to the lower amount per month right?

I don't mind donating a couple of dollars if it helps.

Hi all,

firstly, thanks for the offers of help. I will direct Jo to here so she can see.

It is my understanding that its not really the Spring Swap that's the problem but more the number of members who jump on and posts during peak times.

Anyway, thanks again for all the offers.

I couldn't get on at any time yesterday and since this thread was posted I haven't had any problems, I tried on and off the entire day yesterday, so I would be interested in the peak times too.

Also what's the member count now?
