It's time to ask for money again

Following the recent threads regarding Hyena'ed nappies, the Moderation & Administration team have been discussing what we can do to raise product awareness and ensure a smooth and reliable transition into cloth. What we have come up with is a plan to purchase and review new and often overlooked products.

We are still nutting out the details, but essentially it will work like this:

• Discussion/sightings in the Hyena Den will be monitored for new products.
• Nappycino will purchase these products and check over their construction quality, fabric quality, overall appearance, etc. and pass them on to a testing team.
• The testing team will use the nappy enough times to be able to review the product.
• Two reviewers, each with different tastes and children (build, and sex) will use the nappy
• The reviews will be published on Nappycino

The nappies reviewed will then go into a "stash" for Nappycino. Once enough nappies have been gathered for a decent test stash, we will open membership for a small fee to a loan group. Members will pay for postage only to borrow the nappies for a specified period.

After 6mths the nappy will be reviewed again for wear, etc.

So, we need your help to get this off the ground. The nominal membership fee will go towards purchasing nappies and postage between the reviewers, so that covers ongoing costs, but we need your support to build the initial stash. Hi Jo - great idea! Does this include woolies? I know that we (Susannah and I) would be more than happy to supply one of our Spare Ribs to NC free of charge for review then loaning purposes. LMK if this is an option.

Also, can we make sure that no testers or seconds get through?

Thanks Bec! We are still discussing whether or not it would be a good idea to accept "freebies" as there may be questioning from end users later down the track as to whether the reviews are honest and independent. We can let everyone know

To purchase a second for the purpose of reviewing would be completely pointless and unethical. The objective here is not to criticise the WAHP or the Product, it is to raise awareness to what is and isn't a viable alternative to the Hyena'd products.
