Whether you're throwing another prawn on the barbie, slip, slop, slappin to go out in the sun, or hanging your washing on your hills hoist, being an Aussie means different things to each of us.

So what does Australia mean to you? Well we're giving you the opportunity to show us! So start getting creative! Enter our Australia Day Competition by the 25th of January to win some fantastic prizes donated by some generous Aussie businesses. Show US what Australia means to YOU by creating something special and original!

The competition will be open to all Nappycino members that were current and active as of YESTERDAY. The judging will be done by the Admin team. Moderators, Prize Donators and WAHP's are welcome to enter.

You must agree to the terms and conditions below to enter, and you must complete the application below for your entry to be valid. At the end of the competition you may offer your entry to be auctioned with the proceeds raised going to charity. The charity(ies) selected will be voted upon by the Nappycino members prior to auctioning.

Category 1

Create a Nappy or Nappy Accessory that reflects what Australia means to you

Category 2

Create a childs clothing item or set that reflects what Australia means to you

Conditions of Entry

• A valid entry means:
  • the completion of the entry form
  • the submission of at least THREE photos of the item from different angles. Do NOT send your product! Nappycino will not be responsible for any entries sent through the mail.

• It is a condition of entry that you agree that Nappycino can display your photos on the site - including displaying your photos on this site in the future.

For Both Categories

• Item must be useable/wearable and suitable for the purpose
• Item not breach copyright (click here for an explanation of copyright)
• Item must not use commercial patterns without consent.
• Item must be family-orientated and in good taste. Nappycino reserves the right to refuse to display pictures of an entry on this site at any time.
• You are allowed to enter one item per category.
• You must be the person who made the item in order to enter it.

For the Nappy Category

• Nappy Accessory can include items such as Nappy covers, including knitted garments that are designed to be a nappy cover. Knitted garments can be entered into either category, but can not be entered into BOTH categories.
• Nappies can be constructed from new or recycled fabrics, as long as they are fit for their intended use.

i'd love to enter but th eno commercial patterns rule, rules me out, i'm a beginner knitter and can only follow a pattern not make one up of my own, so maybe next year

If you fired an email to the pattern maker I highly doubt they would decline And there are some free for all use pattern links in the knitting forums

i had an idea to enter but I am only a new beginner knitter and was going to get some "motherly help" on the harder bits - but as it has to be all my own work i guess i will have to wait til next year too
