Just curious as to when people started using a night nappy - probably more the stage than the child's age as such, iykwim. Obviously when they are pooing they need to be changed, so it won't always be appropriate for all babies who poo during the night, so all babies will be different. I tried a BBB with a trifold bamboo booster (so extra 6 layers) and wool soaker last night just cos I was trying to avoid all the crying when I disturbed DD with all her nappy changes. It was soaked in the morning, but considering the soaker wasn't even lanolised it didn't leak at all. She did do a poo about 6am so I changed her then. Not sure if I'm planning on sticking to this idea (didn't use a night nappy on DD1 until she was sleeping longer at night and having only one feed), but just interested to see what others have done

Becky was around 4-5 months I think. She actually would have needed it a bit earlier but I didn't know about night nappies then so I just changed her at every feed (3-4 times a night). And you're right, it's more the stage than the age
Becky stopped pooing at night around that age too so it makes the whole night tasks a lot easier. She still needed a few feeds at night but the nappies lasted us 'til the morning.

When she was about 9 weeks old... she only feeds once or twice overnight (that I realise anyway, lol... joys of co-sleeping), and doesn't poo at night anymore. She doesn't need a special night nappy though, just a heaftier nappy than she uses in the day.

Emily has been in the one nappy all night since about 4 weeks old as she had stopped pooing during the night by then. It's not so much a night nappy, more a boosted day nappy at this stage and that lasts us through well.

I am contemplating this too.
Eamon is 6 weeks and only does 1 poo every one or 2 days already (not at night). He has 2 feeds at night and a third at about 6 or 7am. I am up anyway at that time so would change him then if he was in a night nappy. Now i am wondering what to try...

I have always put a BBB on Brock from birth, when we was little I just folded down the front. I use a BB wool wrap at night on him too. I stopped changing him overnight after a week of doing it as it was waking him up too much and it was taking me hours (yes hours, 1 night it took me 4 hrs) to get him back to sleep.

We use them on Ari and have for about the last month I think (he is 3mths now and sleeps 8-10hours). Before that (once he had stopped pooping) we used boosted day nappies.
We never had too many problems with night screaming (yes there was some but he settled quiet easily) but as well co slept it was just easier to roll over/feed/go back to sleep.
