Not sure if this is the right place to put this because it's not really a struggle, but we are only using nappies at night now, and it just seems like such a waste to run the machine for a couple of nappies.
Can I just rinse them in a bucket and throw in with my normal wash? Am wondering what others have done in this situation. |

I'm sure many people wash them with normal clothes
my mum does when she babysits - nappies always come home clean ![]() I was about a load every 5 days now - with DS he's only using 1-2 nappies a day but the prefolds are gteting a workout mopping up wees from the floor because he's not quite ready for the potty/toilet yet! |

I wash about twice a week. Sometimes once a week.

Excellent, Sounds like a rinse cycle and in with the other clothes once or twice a week is the way to go.
Thank you |

if you wanted to reduce the water you could just rinse the nappy by hand in a bucket each morning then drypail.
depends on your machine though, mine is a water-guzzler so I don't like extra rinsing loads. |

When I go to my parents, they often throw in a nappy with their clothes. I just rinse under running water and then chuck in a regular cylce (cause I dont like to use a whole machine rinse for just one or two nappies). They still come out perfectly clean - as does everything else
